Perhaps they do not know why they scare me so

But they do not know what I see.

Their bodies jerking in the same motions

Pulled by thin, translucent strings,

Their bodies moving unnaturally, their falseness

Their little plastic, shiny, beady eyes

Their black pupils that see nothing,

Their teeth that rattle as they smile

Almost, as in opposition to being forced to

Their smiles, slow and forced, fake.

The words they say and the things they do

Do not match up with their eyes and their body

Constantly yanked around, pulled, ordered…

Am I the only one who sees them like that?
